9 minutes: things we all know about titanic 1 minute: why we can not recover titanic click bait. There's nothing quite a Japanese as the story of the only Japanese man on the Titanic. Was kind of miffed how you didn't even mention how deep down the wreck is as a reason it can't be raised from the bottom. Titanic can't be sunk Iceberg : hold my ice tea. This language totally ruined this movie. Him: did titanic had a fatal flaw? me: uhhh... yes if didn't why did it sink. I'm one of the cynics, and am quite proud of it, thanks. I cannot fathom why this film received any Oscars apart from anything for special effects (in that department, it excels. Yes, the actual cracking apart and sinking of the legendary ocean liner was extremely well done. But as for the rest, just one word: disappointment.
First, there's Leo- not a terrible actor, but pretty limited here. And Kate? About the same goes for her. Then, there is the story. It would have been more interesting if it had focused on the lives of others who were actually on the ship- including the crew. It's also painfully over-long, AND it has a Celine Dion song to boot. How much more wrong can it possibly get?
An overrated piece of dross indeed.
